Residents of Bon Accord and Crown Point were blindsided in 2018 with the shocking news that they may lose their homes through compulsory land acquisition for the construction of the new airport terminal. Government’s plans changed and put on hold. However residents have seen notices in the newspaper about a new area to be used and they are calling for a meeting with the relevant authorities to understand what is going to take place.

On the grounds of the Goodwood Secondary School, there are ruins of the Goldsborough estate sugar mill and instead of keeping it a secret, the school has decided to turn the ruins into a tourist attraction.
