In Tobago, offerings by our local artistes have been on rotation on the airwaves and have been receiving high praise. One such offering is a patriotic piece that some have called the unofficial Tobago Anthem.

Embrace Positive Attitude For Lent

Carnival is over and we have now moved into the period of Lent, 40 days of prayer and fasting for many in the Christian Community. Today, Ash Wednesday, Christians gathered to receive ashes on their forehead to symbolize atonement for sins. During this time,many fast and spend time praying and growing closer to God. For 2019, Father Leslie Tang-Kai of the St. Joseph RC Church said instead of giving up something for Lent, persons should embrace positivity.

The Tobago Hotel and Tourism Association desperately wants to meet with Caribbean Airlines to formulate a marketing plan to improve the dismal visitor figures forecast during the Easter vacation. In response, CAL explained they have been too busy to meet, further; they will not be providing additional flights. This news has been described as vulgar and obscene by Minority Assemblyman, Farley Augustine.
