The NIB mall, one of the island’s landmarks would be torn down by April 30, 2013. Top management of the NIB recently served eviction notices to their 40 tenants, as they claimed the mall is unsafe for continued occupation and should be demolished.

The Trinidad and Tobago Red Cross Society launched its DGECHO 8 project at their premises in Signal Hill. The project which is themed “Caribbean Red Cross Societies: Saving lives, Enabling health and Safe living” and funded by the Finnish Red Cross and the T&T Red Cross society will be conducting a Schools Disaster Management Training Program on the Island.
