Harvey Moore of Charlotteville reached a milestone many persons can only dream of. As the nation is celebrating their golden jubilee, Mr. Moore is celebrating double gold, his 100th birthday.

Carnival is over and we have now moved into the period of Lent, 40 days of prayer and fasting for many in the Christian Community. Today, Ash Wednesday, Christians gathered to receive ashes on their forehead to symbolize atonement for sins. During this time,many fast and spend time praying and growing closer to God. For 2019, Father Leslie Tang-Kai of the St. Joseph RC Church said instead of giving up something for Lent, persons should embrace positivity.
