If the People’s National Movement political party is victorious in the upcoming Tobago House of Assembly elections, leader Orville London is assuring that the landscape of the executive will change, as a number of incumbent secretaries will not be returning.

The Tobago House of Assembly is accustomed to “court clothes” says the Chief Secretary while he was responding to statements made by Attorney General Anand Ramlogan in the Senate on Wednesday night that Finance Minister Larry Howai had been requested to initiate legal action against the THA and himself in relation to the BOLT arrangement for the MILSHIRV office complex contrary to section 51 of the THA Act.

For several months there has been much debate about the BOLT arrangement being used by the Tobago House to construct the Agricultural Administrative Complex. The BOLT arrangement was brought to the attention of the public by the Chairman of the Tobago Organization of the People Lionel Coker.

The People’s National Movement held another meeting last Sunday evening in Goodwood. The Hall of Goodwood Secondary School was like a sea of red as the public came out to listen to what the heads of the People’s National Movement had to say.

At Wednesday’s executive council media briefing, Legal Counsel for the THA, Mr. Alvin Pascall attempted to clear up the controversy about the land arrangement at Shirvan Road which will house the Division of Agriculture, Marine Affairs, marketing and the Environment.
