Representatives of the Tobago Carnival Bands Association and the National Carnival Bands Association Tobago met with the Secretary for the Division of Community Development and Culture, Dr. Denise Tsoi a Fatt Angus. The group discussed issues arising out of Carnival 2013.

As was predicted by many, Austin “Super Blue” Lyons has copped the 2013 Road March title much to the delight of the citizenry.

The Tobago band of the year 2013 title went to Lindy Davidson and Nelsia Ashby. It was Skandalus “the rite of spring”, which got the judges nod for the 2013 band of the year with 1,334 points.

On Sunday, four families were thrown into mourning as five people were killed instantly in a head-on collision along the Claude Noel Highway in the vicinity of Spring Garden traffic signal.

While some chose to participate in the reveling for the carnival season, others chose to camp out, away from the bacchanal. Some even chose to go to the beach with family and friends.
