All surgeries at the Scarborough Regional Hospital were canceled on Monday; this is as a result of sick out action staged by nurses at the hospital. And President of the Public Services Association Watson Duke says it is time the TRHA employees are shown the respect they deserve. According to a source at the Scarborough Regional Hospital, several nurses left their stations unattended at the hospital

Second phase of hospital opening delayed

The handing over of the second phase of the Scarborough General Hospital will be delayed by at least one month. NIPDEC has reported the delay in a recent correspondence to the Division of Health and Social Services.

Hospital commissioned and more plans afoot

The ceremony to commission the start of services at the Scarborough General Hospital was held on Wednesday at the Hospital’s Signal Hill location. In her remarks Secretary for Health and Social services, Claudia Groome-Duke said this is a special day in the lives of Tobagonians.
