The President of Trinidad and Tobago, His Excellency Anthony Carmona and his family are currently in Tobago spending the long Easter weekend in Tobago.

“Tobago is not a soft target for Easter!”, so says Senior Superintendant Garfield Moore. During an interview with Mr Moore, he said the police officers on the island will be out in full force for the Easter period, installing a number of initiatives to keep the public safe.

The Buccoo village council has proposed that more than one major goat race event be held in the village each year.

The sun came out in all its glory earlier as hundreds turned out to witness the 87th edition of the annual Buccoo Goat and Crab Race on Easter Tuesday. To some it was a customary event but to others it was an eye filling activity and one that consumed their full attention.

Citizens can ensure safety and security over the busy Easter period. This assurance was given by a group of Police officers at a media conference held at the Scarborough police headquarters.
