After running a story on Thursday about the hoard of flies affecting residents in Mt. St George and environs several callers to our newsroom later informed us that a fire had erupted at the dump in what they think is an attempt to contain the flies.
Earlier this week it was reported by a national news media that it was Tobago’s Big Secret — violent crime creeping-in due to drugs and guns but according to Faith Jordan of Castara Road, Mt. St. George it was not drug related.
The sawmill road in Mt. St. George is a contentious issue for a resident who called Tobago Channel5 and complained that the road is in a bad state of disrepair. The caller who did not give her name complained that the Saw Mill Road is in a deplorable condition for some time now and wanted the relevant personnel to address the situation.
