Can you imagine sitting in a building wondering when the roof will come crashing down on your head. This is what the teachers of the Speyside Early Childhood Centre go through every day, as they attempt to educate the students under their care.
It’s crunch time for the 650 standard five students on the island. Thursday marks the date they have been preparing for within the last two to three years. Yes, this Thursday is the all important Language Arts and Mathematics segment of the Secondary Entrance Assessment.
The John Roberts Memorial School of SDA in engaging their students on school educational tours visited the studios of Tobago Channel 5. Whilst here, the Tobago Channel 5 team took the students around explaining the operations at the station.
Tobago’s primary school students performed exceptionally well in the 2012 Secondary Assessment Examination; this according to Co-ordinator of Schools Supervision Dr. Verleen Bobb – Lewis.
Relieved children jumped for joy, while others weren’t as enthusiastic, as the Secondary Entrance Assessment examination results were officially released throughout the country.
