Murder-Suicide in Buccoo
Residents of Buccoo are still trying to come to terms with the murder-suicide which occurred in their village on Tuesday. 36 year old Burlinda Solomon- Sobers was chopped to death at her Orchid Lane, Coral Gardens Buccoo home at around 7:45am. The assailant fled the scene but was later found dead in a nearby cornfield at Buccoo Junction in the vicinity of the traffic lights. Autopsies are yet to be conducted on the bodies.

Residents of Bon Accord and Crown Point were blindsided in 2018 with the shocking news that they may lose their homes through compulsory land acquisition for the construction of the new airport terminal. Government’s plans changed and put on hold. However residents have seen notices in the newspaper about a new area to be used and they are calling for a meeting with the relevant authorities to understand what is going to take place.

13 contestants vie for Heritage Crown
The hunt is on for the crown of the popular Tobago Heritage Calypso competition 2013. The show is carded to take place on Friday night on the Plymouth Hard Court. The competition is expected to be a keenly contested one as twelve calypsonians will lyrically wrestle to take the crown from the reigning heritage monarch Tobago Chalkie.
